Founder’s Note

Stephanie Linus, an influential veteran actress birthed the idea of the foundation out of her deeply moved heart for indigent women and girls in Nigeria to have access to maternal health care through the provision of free obstetrics fistula treatment.

The misconceptions about obstetrics fistula further propelled the founder to create an impact-based, eye opening and award winning movie titled, “DRY”.

This movie highlights the sufferings women and girls with vesico-vaginal fistula deal with and displays the ways to end these sufferings by providing high quality repair surgery.

In 2021, the founder who doubles as UNFPAs regional ambassador for Central and West Africa commemorated international women’s day by commencing “Hey woman series”. This series addresses gender based violence and exposes the limiting effects of its impact to women.
